Tai Chi

Grafton Physio - 262 - Low Res.JPG

This session has been very popular with local residents of the Clarence Valley and we are committed to grow and develop this entirely free class. Balla has been taking this class for the past six months, and has a loyal and dedicated group of attendees, but newcomers are always encouraged and welcome to attend.

At Grafton Physio+Sport, we love delivering exercise options to the Community, that embrace a range of age groups and promotes movement in a way that is safe and most importantly, fun.

Tai Chi originates from ancient China, based on martial arts, but more simply explained, is a form of exercise consisting of slow and continuous movements. Tai Chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all ages and fitness levels. In fact, it's very nature makes it the perfect alternative for those who may not otherwise exercise.

Scientific Research indicates many physical benefits including reduced risk of falling, improved balance, strength, flexibility and mental health and is the perfect tool for those who struggle with Osteoarthritis.

It's easy to learn and open for all, you can follow along behind our instructor at your own pace. Balla will guide you through the moves with verbal instructions of where and how to move your feet and arms. As time goes on, you will gain confidence, like our other participants and you can take your Tai Chi to the next level.

If you are interested in attending, then we can't wait to see you! however we ask that you give the Practice a call to ensure that our classes are on that week (we break over Xmas and for illness etc). For your first class we ask if you could please arrive 5 minutes before our start time in order to fill out a Contact Details Form and we can include you on messages related to the Class.
